I live and paint in Oaxaca, Mexico. I cart my art kit around and paint on site, celebrating life in all it's complicated splendor from the comic / tragic to the sublime.

Spikey Friend
I encountered this spikey fellow yesterday in Oaxaca Centro and did my best to capture him in pen and ink.

Succulent on Roof
This is a booming succulent that lives on my roof. It was both a pleasure and a struggle to paint. Capturing this on a canvas is like opening a Chinese box, the more you look the more complex it becomes.
Acrylic on canvas, 9" x 12", $175 includes DHL two day shipping and insurance.

Friendly Fruit
I've never painted a still life before. I was a painting student as an undergraduate. I guess I painted people, landscapes, interiors and fanciful images from my imagination. Maybe I thought still life too prosaic. Yesterday I took the plunge and painted this bowl of fruit. OK, so there was a garlic clove in there too.
I like how the fruit just patiently sits there and lets you paint it.
This is a 9" x 12" acrylic on canvas. It's yours for $175, including shipping/insurance via DHL 2 day service.
Payment is via paypal or check. Interested parties can email me.
